Power management company Eaton has announced that Scott Adams has been named president of eMobility, a segment of Eaton working on electric vehicle solutions.
Adams will be based in Southfield and will report directly to João Faria, president of Eaton’s vehicle group. He will be responsible for leading all aspects of eMobility to achieve top-line revenue growth and profitability.
“Scott’s contributions to the success of our eMobility business since its inception, along with his deep understanding of vehicle markets and customers make him an excellent choice for this role,” says Faria. “His proven track record of leading organizations to achieving growth will be an asset as we work to expand our eMobility portfolio and strengthen our global capabilities.”
Adams has been with Eaton since 1994 when he was hired in as a project engineering manager in Cleveland. He has both a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan as well a master’s degree in engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Before his promotion, he was the senior vice president of product strategy, sales, and marketing for eMobility, where he was responsible for carrying out Eaton’s electrification growth strategy. Prior to joining eMobility, Adams was senior vice president of global product development and marketing and planning for Eaton’s vehicle group.
Eaton’s eMobility unit was formed in 2018. The company, which is based in Dublin, works to improve the quality of life and environment through power management technologies and services. Its solutions help manage electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power.
